Annual benefits enrollment may be especially challenging this year as a result of COVID-19. Even employers that will not be conducting annual enrollment until this fall will be affected. With some employees working remotely and the possibility that social distancing may be a reality for some time yet, HR professionals may find that they need to conduct annual enrollment differently this year.

Lindsey Surratt

Ms. Lindsey Surratt, J.D. is Area Senior Vice President, Compliance Counsel and leader of the Southeast Region in Gallagher’s Benefits & HR Consulting division. Lindsey utilizes her knowledge of healthcare reform, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and the Internal Revenue Code to provide guidance to employer plan sponsors. Prior to joining Gallagher Lindsey practiced law in a law firm in Louisiana where she analyzed healthcare contractual relationships and provided advice on mergers and acquisitions.

Susan Graf

Ms. Susan Graf is a Compliance Consultant in Gallagher’s Benefits & HR Consulting division and is a member of the national compliance team. Her responsibilities include reviewing new federal legislation and regulations affecting health and welfare benefit plans, researching compliance issues, and providing compliance training for Gallagher consultants. She has a total of more than 40 years of experience in employee benefits.
